Ella

Brady has been my best friend since high school. We were hanging out constantly-- school dances, off periods, each other's houses... I've always loved being around Brady. After our freshman year of college, we both ended up being back in Tyler. Brady asked me to be his girlfriend next to a campfire on November 23, 2021--- one of the best days ever! During our 4 years of dating, we've lived 12 hours apart, as well as in the same city. I can confidently say that distance makes the heart grow fonder, but the heart can only take so much distance!! I knew I wanted to marry Brady the moment he asked me to be his girlfriend. He shows me everyday what it looks like to love someone the way Christ does. The day we became engaged was truly the greatest day of my life. I can't wait to be Mrs. Thyen!!

Brady

Ella and I met in middle school and very quickly became friends. Throughout high school she was my best friend and we spent countless hours hanging out. Before going to college I knew I wanted to go out with Ella, but it just never worked out. After our freshman year in college, I knew I wanted to take her on a date and see what could happen. Our relationship officially began in November, 2021 when I finally asked her to be my girlfriend. I knew even then that I was going to ask her to marry me.

The next few years involved a lot of time apart from each other. We spent every night FaceTiming each other and flew back and forth between Dallas and Knoxville as often as we could. Every minute and mile apart taught us how to love each other through the distance and how much we really meant to each other. After living in a few different cities, with and without each other, I decided it was time to propose. On May 10th, 2025, I got down on my knee and asked Ella to be my wife-- that was the happiest day of my life and the beginning of our future!
